Hoogly is a biscuit manufacturer and markets its biscuits throughout the country. It has been working as one of the biscuit suppliers for World Food Program (WFP) sponsored by United Nations (UN) and the School Feeding Program (SFP) partly funded by Bangladesh Government. Founded in 2007, the firm has been able to establish itself as a renowned name in the southern part of Bangladesh. The products supplied to both WFP and SFP require Hooghly to produce its biscuits that maintain specific quality stated by WFP. The biscuits are required to maintain certain vitamin, mineral and nutrition values as stated by WFP. The Company has a positive demonstration of women empowerment as 56% of the current permanent workforce consists of women.
